Authors are invited to submit abstracts on the following Topics.

• Members, connections and joints
• Plates and shells
• Advanced analysis methods
• Optimisation methods and applications
• Impact and progressive collapse
• Additive manufacturing (3D printing)
• Deployable and inflatable structures
• Machine learning in engineering design
• Fatigue, durability and long-term performance
• Cold-formed twin-walled metallic structural systems
• Lightweight steel drywall non-structural systems
• Fire behaviour and thermo-mechanical performance

Please note that selecting either of the two options does not automatically guarantee the inclusion of your contribution as an oral presentation.

1. Guidelines and Instructions

Abstracts must contain original scientific data collected by the author(s).
All abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee.
Please, ensure you have read the guidelines and instructions below to avoid rejection of your abstracts.
NOTE: Abstracts submitted by email or not in accordance with the guidelines will NOT be accepted.

2. How to prepare your Abstract

Abstracts must be written in English and submitted as Pdf file (max 4 MB), using the online submission form and uploading the abstract using the given template.

3. How to submit your Abstract

When the text is ready, go on the online form and follow the steps below:

>>Fill in the details of the Submitter.
>>Fill in with accuracy the Name and Family Name, Department, University/Company city, country and email address of the submitter and of all authors
>>Do not forget to check the appropriate box to indicate the name of the presenting author
>>Select the topic
>>Type the abstract’s title
>>Choose your file and click on the button “upload”
>>Press the button SAVE. You will see a summary of the information that you have digited
>>Click on SUBMIT ABSTRACT

Notification and password
At the end of the process, the submitter will receive by email the confirmation of submission, together with a username and a password. Authors can login anytime into the abstract submission system and make all changes to the abstract, till the deadline (July 31, 2026).

The Submitter will be notified of their abstract acceptance by October 30, 2026

Full Paper Submission Information

Authors, whose abstract will be accepted by the Scientific Committee, will be requested to upload a Full Paper within the deadline.

The conference proceedings, comprising papers presented at the conference, will be published (subject to the authors’ consent) and indexed in the following major databases: EI Compendex, Scopus, SCImago, INSPEC, the Norwegian Register for Scientific Journals and Series, and zbMATH.

Alternatively, papers submitted by authors who do not wish to have their work indexed and published in the proceedings will be included in the conference repository and provided as part of the conference package.

Selected papers will be invited to submit extended versions for publication in a dedicated special issue of Thin-Walled Structures, independently of the authors’ choice regarding inclusion in the indexed conference proceedings.

Authors will be requested to make their choice through the abstract submission online form.
